Solar power to the people

I strongly believe that carbon removal will be necessary to truly deal with global warming and that ultimately we will replace the petrochemical industry with green hydrogen and clean energy using carbon removal and advanced chemical manufacturing. There are literally billions of dollars being mobilized to build the carbon removal, clean energy, and green hydrogen economy so there are a lot of opportunities. I am very optimistic that carbon removal and agrivoltaics industrial park microgrids will make new business models for off-grid systems or hybrid microgrids with more flexible interconnection requirements. Existing wind and solar grid interconnection transformers/switchgear are super valuable and could have energy storage and carbon removal or other predictable loads added. This is not only necessary to build a clean energy grid in the time that we need to do it, but we also must remove greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere in order to avoid a total loss of the Earth’s ice caps, according to the IPCC. 

There are a lot of ways to build a career in carbon removal including developing solar projects to power carbon removal microgrid industrial parks. There are many other ways to build a career in carbon removal through the credit markets and it is probably all remote work that could become passive income using decentralized finance. 

The White House is throwing another 20 Billion at clean energy and climate change solutions for equitable job and community creation. They try to mobilize $7 of private capital for every $1 of public money so that it’s closer to 150 Billion being directed to climate change solutions like agrivoltaics and carbon removal microgrids.

Terraform Industries– Carbon Neutral Methane to end fracking and replace natural gas. This would mean Terrawatts of solar power to drive carbon removal and green hydrogen with electrochemistry. I’m most optimistic for this to begin with carbon-neutral rocket fuel in the near future, likely within 2 years.

Universal Matter – Superior Carbon Negative materials like Graphene with syngas byproducts will change the world and rapidly decarbonize the “hard to abate” sectors.
